Bayern Munich was founded in 1900. They won their first national championship in 1932. During 1974-76 seasons they won three European Cups in a row. Bayern Munich is one of the strongest team in Europe. The present president of this team is Uli Hoenes. The head coach of this team is Louis van Gaal. Mark van Bommel is their present captain.

Olympic stadium Munich was home ground of Bayern from 1972 to 2005. This stadium was built for the Olympic Games 1972. The capacity of the Olympic stadium was 63,000. In 2005/06 season, they moved to Allianz Arena. The capacity of this stadium is approximately 70,000. This stadium is also home ground for TSV 1860.

The traditional color of Bayern Munich is red and white. They are the runners-up of this year’s UEFA Champions League. There are many German football clubs which are popular in the world, but Bayern Munich football club has a special place in the hearts of its fans.
