English Premier League – International Cups

Football league: English premier leagueEnglish Premier League has two International Cups viz. UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League. UEFA Europa League is an annual association football cup run by UEFA from 1971. This cup is the second prestigious European club competition for eligible European football clubs. The first is the UEFA Champions League. Clubs are qualified for the UEFA Europa League according to their performance in respective national leagues and cup competitions. UEFA Europa League was previously known as UEFA Cup. UEFA Champions League is also known as Champions League which is also an association football cup run by UEFA from 1955. The final of UEFA Champions League is with NFL’s Super Bowl and it is the most watched sporting event all around the world.

Champions League consists of several stages of competition starting with three knockout rounds and a play-off round. The ten teams that wins the qualifying round joins the group of 22 seeded teams in which eight groups are there. Four teams will be present in each group. Eight group winners and eight runners-up will enter the final phase of knockout that ends in the final match. Overall there are many international cups among the English Premiere League clubs and clubs from Spanish and football league.
