Fernando Torres

Fernando Torres was born in Spain on 20 March 1984 and currently plays for the English Premiership side Liverpool. Torres joined Liverpool in 2007 and has scored an incredible 48 goals in only 67 league appearances, already earning him a cult following in Liverpool. Torres has also scored an additional 12 goals in 29 non league games. His good looks also make him a big fan of the lady supporters as well.

Torres first played for Atletico Madrid where he made 214 league appearances and scored 82 goals. A fervent Atletico supporter, Torres made the decision to move to England after Atletico failed to earn a place in the European Champions Leagues. This would ensure that Torres would play more in the European arena.

Fernando Torres with David Villa, Spain boasts one of the most potent strike forces in world football and this strike pairing promises much in the upcoming World Cup being held in South Africa in 2010. Torres, at only 25, has already represented Spain 71 times and has scored 23 goals. Villa has scored 35 times in 54 games. You can almost guarantee that this tally of 23 will be added to in the upcoming year. Fernando Torres is considered as one of the best players in modern football club games. He is brilliant.
