Born on the 26th of September, 1976, Michael Ballack is a former football player from Germany. In the history of the international team, the player is counted to be among the top goal scorers he started his career at an early age and played for his local team Chemnitz however, his professional debut match was held in the year 1995. Michael Ballack always used to wear a shirt numbered 13 for every team he played except for the Kaiserslautern. His first season in the club bought him success and is team won the Bundesliga. Moreover, he is also accredited to earn the first national cap for Germany. His main skills lie in the area of passing range, ball skills, commanding presence within the midfield and scoring ability.

He was also appointed as the captain of the national team by Jurgen Klinsmann in 2004.
