Danny Murphy (born March 18, 1977) is an English footballer who plays for the English Premier League club “Fulham” as a central midfielder in a 13-numbered T-shirt. Murphy was born in Chester, England, where he started his career as a trainee at the “Crewe Alexandra/football club.” Murphy, a sixteen-year-old boy, scored the first goal on his debut for Crewe on a 4-3 win over “Preston North End/football club.”
Danny Murphy soon joined “Liverpool” after sending Crewe to the second league of English football for the first time since the war. He is still regarded as the legend of football amongst the Crewe Alexandra fans, and they hope one day Danny will come back as a manager.
In 2004, Murphy left Liverpool and moved south to spend his football time with both “Charlton Athletic/football club” and “Tottenham Hotspur football club.”
In 2007, Murphy finally moved to Fulham football club after a year and a half spent at “White Hart Lane Stadium.” However, his duties for Fulham football club are unforgettable as he contributed many memorable plays for his club Fulham. Murphy is a captain of his squad and plays at the midfield area with great techniques as he reads the whole game in an epic style.
In his 2008/09 year, Murphy helped Fulham to secure the seventh position at the Barclays Premier League and led them to the Europa League for only the second time in the club’s 130-year history.
Last year Murphy once again led his side to the Europa League final and a fair play at Barclays Premier League. There is no doubt he has been a true captain for Fulham in his many past years and he is still giving his best as a captain of Fulham football club.
This season Murphy has extended his two year contract with the Fulham manager, Mark Hughes, and he will stay at his club until the summer of 2012. The very next day after the extension at the club, Murphy scored against the “Spurs/football club” at the Cottage as they passed through to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over the Spurs.
Danny Murphy has scored 22 total goals for Fulham football club in 122 appearances in all the seasons. Though the figure doesn’t look healthy yet, his presence makes a huge difference in the game.
