German fc-koeln football club

Most of the modern football clubs in Germany are a result of the post world war 2 mergers and FC Koln is one of them. A relatively young club, FC Koln football club was formed in 1948 and is based in Cologne, Germany.

This successful German club has a group of faithful supporters who came to support each and every home game which is played at Rheinenergiesatdion which has a capacity in excess of 50000 making it a fairly decent sized club. The players wear a bright kit for the home games and a multi colored red and black with predominantly white color for the away games.

FC Koln football club has recently been a yo-yo club because of a regular relegations into the German 2nd division although it is known to have played most of their football in the Bundesliga. They were relegated for the first time back in 1998 and previously were one of the most stable clubs in the west side of Germany by winning most points.

The club did not have a great season thus far but with a new manager in the ranks and the fans backing up the players, everyone is hopeful that FC Koln would again become a dominant name in German football in the coming years.
