FIFA World Cup 2010: Group A

by on June 1, 2010

2010_FIFA_World_Cup_logoGroup A of the FIFA 2010 World Cup will play their matches from 11 June to 22 June 2010. This group has four teams, Mexico, South Africa, France and Uruguay. The host team South Africa is going to perform on its home ground. Advantage!

Interesting facts

You may call it a co-incidence or a ‘joy-incidence’ that Mexico, France and Uruguay were placed with the host nation that is England in the same group back in 1966. This time the host is South Africa and the other three teams would be battling in the same group. Interesting, isn’t it?

These four teams are going to play each other in this group. The winners of this group will battle with the runners-up of Group B and the runners-up of Group A will meet the winners of Group B. As far as the winning teams of this group, it is being predicted that Mexico and France would make their way to play with the runners-up as these teams have been performing well. But as South Africa has the advantage of playing on its home ground, so better not under estimate them.

So what’s your prediction on the wins?
