FIFA World Cup 2010: Group H

by on June 1, 2010

What a treat it would be to watch Spain play in Group H as Spain became the European champion. Three cheers for them. Along with them, Honduras, Switzerland and Chile are going to be battling in the Group H of FIFA World Cup 2010.

Interesting Fact

Back in 1950, Spain and Chile played in the same group where Spain qualified for the next round. Switzerland and Chile played back in 1962 in the same group when Chile was hosting the event. In 1966, Spain and Switzerland played in the same group but none was able to advance to next level. Last but not the least, Spain and Honduras were in the same group back in year 1982. This group has been a cocktail in history!

How exciting it would be to see Spain walking the ground after becoming the European champion. Spain is definitely going to make its way in the next round along with Chile as the young attacking team of Chile is becoming a threat for every team. Sounds great and smells good!

The Group H winners are going to play Group G runners-up while the Group H runners-up would be facing winners of Group G.

And finally, the big picture became clearer!

The countdown has started. The screens have been set. The supporting shirts have been bought.

Gear up as the hype is just few days away!

  1. Great post, I really agree with what you have to say.

  2. I really enjoy what you blog about here, very fresh and intelligent. One problem though, I’m running Firefox on Fedora and some of your layout pieces are a little misaligned. I realize it’s not a common setup, but it is still something to to keep in mind. Just giving you a heads up.
