IFK Goteborg football clubIFK Goteborg football club is a Swedish football club founded in 1904; the club is based in Gothenburg and is regarded as one of the best clubs in in Sweden or perhaps the whole northern Europe. IFK Goteborg FC has a rich history as a club with many great achievements and trophies. The club has a decorated trophy cabinet and currently plays in the ‘ALLSVENSKAN’ league (the highest Swedish league). The club is fondly known as ‘BLAVITT (blue-white)’ amongst the fans and plays it’s home matches at the newly built ‘Gamla Ullevi’ stadium which can accommodate over 18,000 fans. IFK Goteborg has a strong and able squad which has helped the club to dominate the domestic league as well as prove their mettle in the European competitions.

The Blavitt are currently coached by Jonas Olsson since 2007; he also played for the club before retiring in 1998. IFK Goteborg football club has a huge fan base and is currently owned by Kent ohlsson, the club also holds the distinction of spending the longest top-flight tenure by any club in Sweden. The club crest features the coat of arm of the city of Gothenburg and a lion in the center, holding the three crowns of Sweden; IFK is written at the top with the crest containing blue and white as the characteristic colors.
