Performance records of Levante UD football club

Levante UD football club

Levante UD is one of the best clubs in Valencia. Levante has a long history with many great moments. The club possesses the potential to beat any side at tough times. Levante won its first title in 1928 (Campeonato de Valencia), the Valencian Championship.

In 1935, Levante football club won the Campeonato Levante-Sur, a competition that featured teams from Valencia, Murcia and Andalusia, and amazingly reached the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup, consecutively beating “Valencia football club” and “FC Barcelona football club”, before losing to “CE Sabadell football club” in the semis. On July 18, 1937, Levante football club claimed their first “Copa de la España Libre” trophy after defeating their city rivals Valencia by 1–0 at the Montjuïc.

Levante UD has qualified to the La Liga after two consecutive years at Second Division. But they are struggling at the 17th position in the current 2010-11 season. Levante’s coach, Luis Garcia, is under deep pressure, as he is trying his best to come back in the competition with much-needed wins.
