After their recent takeover by “Venky’s London Limited” (Indian company), Blackburn Rovers have enjoyed success and celebrated the arrival of the “New Year” by defeating West Bromwich fc 3-1. The club is currently in the 9th position of the BPL and is aiming to finish in the top half at the end of the season. Blackburn Rovers fc is also known by the nickname of “The Riversiders” and their current coach is Steve Kean who has recently replaced Sam Allardyce. The club has a very strong team with experienced players and play home matches at Ewood Park which has a capacity of accommodating over 31000 fans.
The Riversiders have a decorated trophy cabinet and a rich history of producing remarkable talent, the 135 year old club has a huge fan following and it’s crest shows the “Red Rose Of Lancaster’’ and bears the motto “Arte et Labore” which means “By skill and By Labour” and is also the motto of the town; the home kit of Blackburn fc is characterized by white and blue colours while the away kit consists of red and black. The Blackburn Rovers club has many talented players and has produced many upsets in past seasons and surprised their opponents.
