The current manager of the club is recently appointed Alan Pardew who has replaced Chris Hughton and guided his team to a 3-1 victory against Liverpool in his first match incharge. The home ground of the magpies is St James Park having a capacity to hold over 52,000 spectators. The clubs crest is modelled on the city coat-of-arms as the two sea-horses represent Tyneside’s strong connection with the sea, while the castle is embedded between the sea-horses.
Newcastle United football club enjoys a lot of fan following. Although the performance of this club from English Premiere league is not among the best football clubs recently, the club enjoys reputation of being a tough opponent.
