Alfredo di Stefano is a famous former Argentinean football player and an excellent coach. He is known to be one of the greatest and best players of all time. He was born on 4 July 1926 in Buenos Aires in Argentina. He played in the forward position and granted many victories to his team. However, he possessed immense stamina and strategic adaptability accompanied with exceptional vision skills and was able to play almost on every part of the pitch very professionally.

In his senior career years from 1945 to 1966, he played for many teams including River Plate, Huracan, Millonarios, Real Madrid and Espanyol. However, his national teams were Argentina in 1947, Colombia in 1949 and Spain from 1957 to 1961. In addition to all these, the teams that he managed in the years 1967 to 1991 included Elche, Boca Juniors, Valencia, Sporting CP, Rayo Vallecano, Castellon and River Plate. Alfredo di Stefano was the part of the proud team who won five successive seasons of the European Champions Cup during the 1950s. In fact he is known to have played during all the five victories. At present, he is the fourth highest scorer of Spain’s top division. He is also known for scoring 216 goals in 282 league matched in the years between 1953 and 1964. This is the reason why he was the Real Madrid’s second highest league goal scorer of all times. Apart from this, he was also given the privilege of being selected as the Golden Player of Spain by the Royal Spanish Football Federation in 2003.
