Dundee united football club have been consistent performers ever since they were founded around a century ago.  They have performed exceptionally well at the national level and have been one of the only few teams have been a constant threat to the likes of Rangers and Celtic.

Dundee United FC has won the SPL only once back in 1982-1983 but have regularly finished in the top half since then. Although their league performances may not have been exceptional but the performance in the national cup tournaments have been phenomenal. They have won the Scottish cup twice and have been the runners up on seven different occasions. In the Scottish League Cup, Dundee United has been on the victory podium twice and have been the runners up on 4 separate instances.

But like every other European club, Dundee United FC have had their best season in the 1986-1987 when they were the runners up in the UEFA Cup. They had a dream tournament that year but were just not lucky enough to win the tournament. They also played in the Semi Finals at the European Cup in 1983-1984 and have on numerous occasions won a lot of regional trophies as well. Dundee Football club is a popular scottish football club.

Scottish Dundee United football club

Based in the city of Dundee, Scotland, Dundee United football club is one of the most famous Scottish football clubs that was formed in 1909. Initially known as Dundee Hibernian the club is normally known as ‘The Terrors’ amongst it’s fans.

The club plays in the Scottish Premier League (SPL) and play their home games at the Tannadice Park which has a capacity just over 14,000. The home kit is an exciting mixture of tangerine and black whereas the away kits are a refreshing mixture of black and white. Dundee United football club got a financial scare earlier in their years of formation but a group of local business men came to their rescue in 1923.

Dundee United’s most successful era came under the courageous leadership of their manager Jim Mclaren who took over the club in 1971 and helped them achieve many an accolades. The club is known for it’s aggressive style of football and have produced a number of great strikers who have eventually played for other big named European clubs.

Dundee FC has won a number of tournaments on the national level and have aspirations to make it big on the international level as well. They have a great youth system in place to ensure that the future of the club is bright and the number of trophies multiply to the delight of their fans.
