The club was founded in 1905 and currently playing in the lowly third-division league “Championnat national”. Bastia plays home matches at the Stade Armand Cesari, having capacity of 11,000 spectators. Julien Lolli is the current chairman of the club while the team plays under the managerial ship of Frederic Hantz. It is one of the most popular French football clubs.

SC Bastia football club, well known as the “Turchini”, “lioni di Furiani”, and “les bleus”, plays home games in Blue jersey with Blue shorts and away games in White Jersey with White shorts.

On domestic level, Bastia football club have won only two titles, Second Division winners in 1968 and Coupe de France in 1981. While on international level, Bastia have made 2 appearances in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, 2 appearances in the UEFA Europa League and 3 appearances in the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
