Wolverhampton Wanderers football club is an English professional league football team located in the city of Wolverhampton, in West Milands region of England. The club was founded in 1877 as St. Luke’s, currently playing in the top-flight “English Premier League”. The club plays the home games at Molineux Stadiuam with the capacity of 30,000 spectators. Wolverhampton FC are the pioneers of football as well as played an important role in the establishment of the UEFA Champions League.

In 1888, the club became a founder members of the English Premier League and finished 3rd on the league table. In 1893, Wolves achieved the first milestone beating the Leicester City Football Club in the finals of FA Cup. And a year later, they won their first League title. 1950s is regarded as the most successful years in the history of clubs’ football, as Wolves finally won the league championship for the first time in 1954 under the captaincy of Billy Wright. And repeated twice in the 1957/58 season and 1958/59 season and ended the 1959/60 season as runners-up.
The club was performing brilliantly in the 70s until the time 80s brought real decline. Wolves slipped right from top-flight all the way to the lowly fourth division. The club became in severe debts and the Molineux stadium itself became in dangour of being condemned. After some ownership changes, the club was sold to businessman Sir jack kayward in 1990. He amazingly paid off the debts and rebuilt the stadium. However slowly but surely, in 2003 they return to the top-flight “English Premier League”.
