Top Three Candidates for Winning La Liga 2015/16
Spanish Primera Division is commonly known as La Liga and it is a competition played for almost ninety years, as it was founded in 1929. Real Madrid is the team that has the most titles in the history of the competition (32), but it also has a tough task for this season – to beat their arch rivals Barcelona, who are the current La Liga holders.
And this won’t be an easy task, as Barcelona seems like they were never playing better. Deadly trio Messi – Suarez – Neymar is in charge of netting goals and almost always completes this task successfully, tearing opposing defenses into pieces. The beauty of the game and the creativity Barcelona team demonstrates is one of the main reasons people watch Spanish Primera Division. Real Madrid will have a hard task of overcoming them, and a lot will depend on Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the best football player in the world. Ronaldo is able to dribble the entire opposition team and score a goal himself, but the thing he will have to do is to put himself in his team’s service if he wants to win La Liga title. There are a number of players he can count on, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez will help him in the attack, and Pepe will be in charge of organizing the defense in front of the goal, which will be guarded by reliable Keylor Navas.
While we are expecting for the title in Spanish Primera Division to be decided between Real and Barcelona, you shouldn’t underestimate Atletico Madrid. They’re playing great under Diego Simeone, and with excellent players like Jonathan Griezmann, Gabi and Jackson Martinez on the pitch, Atletico definitely has a team that can compete for the top. They already managed to break the spell of Barcelona and Real Madrid winning the title in 2014, and they can certainly do it again.
As for other teams, they might not be able to dream about the title, but they are definitely able to show some good football. Sevilla showed they can play at the highest level, Athletic Bilbao is always attractive due to its players’ policy, and Valencia and Villareal are in respectable table position for years, which guarantees the viewers a lot of fun until the end of the La Liga season.
